Favorite Things Holiday Gift Guide, Part Two
Favorite Things Holiday Gift Guide (PART TWO!)– all of my favorite things from the past year. If you missed it, you can check out part one of my gift guide here.
It was way too hard to cram everything I love into one post, so here is part two of my 2015 Favorite Things Holiday Gift Guide. I have a feeling this will become a new tradition. If you missed it, you can check out part one here!
Most of the items below are things that I own and love, but I’ve also included a few things that I just discovered recently. Please feel free to share things that you’ve been loving in the comment section!
Harry & David Royal Riviera Pears – If you’re interested in gifting a loved one an edible gift this year, Harry & David Royal Riviera Pears are a long-time favorite of mine. They are so ridiculously juicy that you basically have to stand over a sink while you eat them (good sign). A great option for in-laws, family, or friends, especially if they live half way across the country!
Anthropologie Ikat Thistle Cup & Saucer – Ok, I don’t own this, but I have an obsession with pretty mugs and I sort of want to add this to my collection. Downside: I can’t microwave tea or coffee that gets cold. Womp, womp.
Crate & Barrel Crescent Water Glasses – These water glasses were also on our wedding registry and I love them! We owned extremely cheap water glasses before and these are nice and big, but elegant (yet not so delicate that I’m constantly worried I will break them).
West Elm Gold Flatware – One of my favorite food photography props from the past year! I’m not sure if I would use them as my everyday flatware (although they are really nice), but they pop in photos!
Pastry Cloth & Rolling Pin Cover – Another random gift from my mom last year, which I love. This would make a great stocking stuffer for someone who loves to bake. It basically is a cloth (and rolling pin cover) that you lay on your counter top and roll dough on – you flour the cloth and it prevents your dough from picking up too much excess flour during rolling. No sticking!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil – My favorite eye liner…ever. It glides on extremely easily, lasts for a long time, and doesn’t smudge or budge as much as other eye liners. I’ve owned it in Minx (which I think is discontinued) and Sabbath (closest alternative), which is a great dark navy color. Love, love.
Lululemon Crop Bottoms – I basically live in yoga pants 24/7 and I don’t do yoga. Perfect for working out, lounging, or long walks. I’ve owned my share of workout yoga pants and I have to say, my Lululemon crop bottoms are higher-quality and last significantly longer than any other brand I’ve tried. Pricey, but worth the investment.
Lindt Excellence Pineapple Dark Chocolate – Tried it for the first time at Better Blog Retreat and am completely obsessed. I also love Lindt’s Intense Orange Chocolate bar. Now they just need to come up with a Dark Chocolate Passion Fruit bar and I’m set for life.
iPhone 6S Rose Gold – I am finally up for my phone upgrade and I’m so very excited about this one, as the camera has the biggest upgrades since the iPhone 4. I’m also a rose gold fanatic, as you may have already predicted given other items on today’s list. Also, why are phones so expensive?!
La Colombe Coffee Beans – Ever since we purchased this espresso maker (another favorite thing!), I’ve become a bit of a coffee snob. Honestly, when we were using a drip maker, I never really felt like the coffee beans ended up making that dramatic of flavor difference. With an espresso machine, it absolutely matters and I totally appreciate good beans. I’ve tried three different varieties so far: Intelligentsia (started in Chicago!), Lavazza Espresso Beans (slightly more affordable), and La Colombe Nizza espresso beans. La Colombe is my favorite so far!
Organic Rosehip Oil – I first heard of this from Monique of Ambitious Kitchen and I recently purchased it! You basically rub a few drops of this on your face in the morning and at night, and I have to say – it has made a dramatic difference for my skin. I have very dry skin too! Word of warning: it’s naturally orange in color, so be careful not to stain your towels, etc (don’t worry, it totally rubs in and doesn’t look weird).
The Vegetarian Flavor Bible – I’ve waxed poetic about my love of the original Flavor Bible many times on the blog before. It is a huge source of information and inspiration for me in regards to recipe development, as well as breaking out of cooking ruts. This vegetarian follow-up is a new addition to my cookbook collection and I might love it more than the original – if that’s possible! A great gift for anyone that’s looking to improvise more in the kitchen or expand their knowledge of plant-based ingredients and vegetarian recipe repertoire.
Suite One Studio Pottery – My friend Adrianna clued me into this pottery company earlier this year, and I’ve been obsessed with practically everything that Lindsay creates ever since. Such gorgeous, one-of-a-kind handmade pottery pieces that anyone would love and cherish. I’m particularly enamored with her incredibly unique lace cheese boards!
