Click Retreat Caribbean 2015
A recap of my time at Click Retreat Caribbean 2015!Â
Hi guys! After harassing you all on Instagram last week with pictures of sunny beaches and clear blue waters, I figured I should share a bit more about last week’s Click Retreat to the Caribbean.
Believe it or not, it was actually my first real blog (and photography)  conference, so I think I was spoiled for life in terms of location. Seriously, I’m pretty sure I’m in for a rude awakening. I signed up for the retreat on a whim about six months ago! It was an amazing deal and the photography focus was ideal for me.
I also figured I could use a mini-vacation prior to the wedding and all of the other major life events coming our way in the next few months.
I also haven’t had an opportunity to travel much over the past few years due to my previous jobs–so it has been one of my goals for 2015! Mission accomplished. The retreat was a great size–about 50 people–and geared mainly to bloggers, as well as photography enthusiasts. Ironically, at least twenty of us were food bloggers! [Shout out to my new buddy and roommate, Meagan, who I laugh-cried with during the entire trip.]
I have to say, it is such a testament to the blogging community that I felt comfortable enough to get on a boat with 50 people, none of whom I had met in real life…ever!
I mean, seriously, when you think about it–it’s all sorts of crazy. And yet, there we were stranded in the middle of the ocean having a complete blast together on the second largest cruise boat in the world. Um, the boat was huge–don’t worry, I’ll tell you all about it.
Since I couldn’t possibly sum up the trip in one single post (I tried…it couldn’t happen), I’ll be back tomorrow with lots of details and more pictures!
{Joy}
Back with more tomorrow!!!Â

I didn’t know it was your first blog conference. It was such a pleasure to meet you. You got some really great pictures.
I’m so glad you took a leap and signed up for Click! I’ve admired your work from Pinterest for quite some time and being able to see the real YOU was such a treat. You take such gorgeous photos and have a unique way of seeing the world. I’m happy to just watch through your eyes! So happy we met – missing everyone already
It was so wonderful to meet you Stacy!!!! You are so incredibly kind and sweet, and I’ve long admired your work as well! Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge and experience. Hope we cross paths again soon! I miss everyone!!
This is so cool! I’ve never been on a cruise or any other blogger conferences. I’m looking forward to more photos and read all about it. These pictures are beautiful!
Well, that just looks like ten thousand kinds of fabulous!
Thanks Meg!!
I was dying of jealousy while following your adventures on IG! I’m going to my 1st conference (Food Blog Forum) at the end of February, and it’s in Disney World! Can you believe that I’m actually more stoked about the conference than I am about going to Disney?!? I can’t wait!!!
Thanks for sharing all this wonderfulness!!!!
I pretty much wanted to jump into all your Insta photos because, good grief, what a good place to be during this heartless winter 🙂 Sounds like a complete blast!
These photos = so awesome! Seems like it was such a great trip….totally wish I went, too!
Wow! Brought back memories of our cruise two years ago aboard “Allure of the Seas” -the largest by something like 4-5 inches. I note the Megens Bay beach pictures from St. Tomas-a must do!! Cheers from Canada!
Hello Laura !! I’m so happy I found your blog trough a fellow blogger’s site. I also live in the metro area. Beautiful photos…it sounds like you had a blast!!
