{Pretty things for the New Year! Gorgeous handmade cutting boards from my godparents, a beautiful tablecloth from my dad, foil-pressed Thank You cards, this stunning cookbook, and a crinkle fry pen!}
- I can’t get over how beautiful these wedding photos are! They make me want to move to North Dakota and live on a farm.
- An ode to winter leeks. My favorite.
- These Kir Royale Pearls for celebratory cocktails are amazing!
- Love this post on replacing traditional New Year’s resolutions and goals with dares. I’m a sucker for being dared to do anything (within reason, of course).
- Seven fruits to eat more of in the month of January.
- Must.resist.making.these.apple.turnovers. (#weddingdress)
- Blood orange salad with olives. Why can’t I find blood oranges this year?! I’m so sad.
- The best hot chocolate ever. I believe.
- This winter buckwheat and shaved fennel salad. Prettiest salad ever.
- A guide to winter wines and food pairings. I’m so bad at this.
- Carrots have never looked this good.
- These gorgeous maple doughnuts (with maple glaze!).
- Cranberry ginger moscow mule. Yes.
What I was cooking one year ago…
- Curried Cream of Cauliflower and Apple Soup. My soup obsession reveals itself in full force.

Love your tablecloth! Would your Dad share where I could find one?
I really enjoy your blog……thanks so much!

Hi Ty! Unfortunately, he got it at a very small store in Oakland, California–so I’m not sure if it would be available to purchase online! It was made in Morocco or Portugal, I think? Sorry I can’t be of more help!
The tablecloth is beautiful! Would your Dad share where I could purchase one? I really enjoy reading your blog! Thanks so much!

Ooh those kir royale pearls are just lovely!! You always link to the best things!
Just an FYI, you have an extra letter in the wedding photo url. 🙂
Ah, Molly and eggboy are one beautiful couple. They made those super flat ND field look so gorgeous! And that hot chocolate is serious business! Gotta go and make one. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
All of these links have me wanting to cook all sorts of yummy things this week! I’m a huge sucker for anything with leek. But–I must say–that cauliflower apple soup from last year looks divine! I’m putting this on my list soon…it will be perfect for the cold weather heading my way (Atlanta). Happy new year!

Thanks so much Emilie! Let me know if you try it–it is one of the most unique soups I’ve ever made (it’s slightly adapted from a Daniel Boulud recipe)! Happy New Year!
